Ezenyili is often described as youthful, pragmatic, energetic, and focused on delivering visible results. His administration emphasizes transparency (e.g. open door policy, attempting to involve multiple stakeholders in budgeting), community inclusiveness (development across wards rather than favouring certain zones) and local empowerment.
He has also taken steps to mediate traditional disputes for example, facilitating a reconciliation in 2025 between the Asagba of Asaba and the Akor of Oko over long-running stipend allocation disputes.

His marriage has been the subject of public attention: his wife, Uche MaryRose Ezenyili, initiated suit for dissolution of marriage under customary law in 2024, citing incompatibility and other issues.
Media reports appear to be generally favourable in terms of his performance, but like many leaders at the local government level, expectations are high and some criticisms are around how fast projects are completed or distributed. Specific major criticisms (e.g. delays or allegations of mismanagement) have not been widely reported in the sources I found.
